Bio

Dasha Bazanova (b. 1987, Russia) is a mixed media artist specialising in ceramic sculpture, oil painting, and installation art. In 2011 she received her master’s degree at Moscow State University of International Relations. In 2012 Bazanova moved to New York where she earned an MFA at Long Island University (CW Post) in 2014. She currently lives and works in NYC.

Her work was exhibited in numerous galleries and museums such as the Painting Center, David & Co, Islip Museum, Steinberg Museum, and more. Bazanova Participated in the Ural Industrial Biennial of Contemporary Art in Russia, Ekaterinburg in 2015 and exhibited at NEW ART PROJECTS (“2 Years of Looking ”), London UK. She recently participated in Long Island Biennial at the Heckscher Museum and had solo exhibitions at Space776 gallery in 2024, the Spring Break Art Show / NYC in 2022 and a two-person show curated by Ambre Kelly and Andrew Gori at Spring Break / LA in 2023, as well as Spring Break Secret show in NYC.

Publications include Hyperallergic, Art News, The Art NewsPaper, Whitehot Magazine and more. Her work is in the private collections of Beth Rubin Dewoody, Stephanie Ingrassia and more.
